There is a risk of file loss, therefore, it is recommended that when creating a new task, you create a test directory and thoroughly test it.

Function

• SMBSync 2 is a tool designed for wirelessly synchronizing files using the SMB1, SMB2, or SMB3 protocol over a LAN network between the internal storage of an Android device, SDCARD, and PC/NAS. The synchronization process is unidirectional from the master to the target and supports mirror, move, copy, and archive functionalities. Various combinations such as Internal storage, SDCARD, SMB, and ZIP are possible.
• Synchronization can be initiated through an external application (e.g., Tasker, AutoMagic) or scheduled within SMBSync 2.

Mirror

• If the master and target files differ, files are copied from the master to the target directory. Target files and directories not existing in the master will be deleted.

Move

• If there are differences between master and target files, files are copied from master to the target directory. The original master directories and files are removed after being copied to the target.
• If a file on the master has the same name, modification time, and size as one on the target, the file on the master will be deleted without being copied.

Copy

• Different files between master and target will be copied from the master to the target directory. Files with identical names, modification times, and sizes will not be duplicated between the master and target locations.

Archive

• This function moves photos and videos from a directory on the master side to a target directory based on specific conditions like shooting date/time compared to the archive execution date/time (e.g., 7 days or 30 days earlier). ZIP format cannot be applied to the target in this scenario.

Note1:

• A file is considered different if it meets any of these criteria:
  1. The file does not exist.
  2. The file sizes differ.
  3. There is an update difference exceeding 3 seconds.

Note2:

• The last update timestamp of synchronized files in the internal storage may change to the sync time depending on your device model. For external SDCARDs, the last update time is always set to match the synchronization time on Android 5/6 devices.
